Strife, anger, malice, unforgiveness and pride assist the work of satan in helping him to destroy in your marriage.
As you walk in love and obedience to the Word of God, you assist God and resist the devil. God wants you to have a strong and glorious marriage. He who hears and obeys God’s Word is as one who digs deep and builds his/her relationship upon a rock, and as the storm comes the house stands every test and trial and is not defeated. Those who do not obey the Word of God, they are as those who build their marriage on sand with a poor foundation, so when trouble and pressure come against the relationship it crumbles under the pressure.
It would be helpful to look at the Word of God and ask yourself if you are walking in obedience as far as your life and marriage is concerned. For instance, the Word says to love your neighbour as yourself. Do you love your spouse as you love yourself? If you love yourself more than you love your spouse then you are not assisting God but resisting Him.
The Word of God commands you to forgive others their wrongs so that your Father in heaven may forgive you. To walk in forgiveness is to avail yourself of the goodness and assistance of God
Make a quality decision to be a doer of the Word especially as it relates to your marriage, knowing that by doing this you assist God to pour His glory and blessing into your marriage.
