Overheating?

The engine of a car will sometimes overheat, at this time it is working so hard but producing little result. When a car is overheating it means the cooling down process is faulty. If you merely wait for it to cool down without rectifying the fault the situation is likely to repeat itself.

Your relationship can be likened to a car, for you to get it to work efficiently and to be able to enjoy it to the full you would have to do what it takes. You will need to service and maintain it regularly because a lack of this could produce overheating.

By servicing and maintaining we mean you would need to give it attention, for example, time together, communication, honouring and respecting one another and the list goes on.

If these things are not in place there is the probability that the overheating effect would take place. This is when both of you are working really hard to get things right but things are just going the opposite direction. This is a time when you want to blame the other party for the overheating.

When overheating takes place there is the tendency for other things to go wrong apart from what caused the overheating.

If your relationship is at this point the best thing to do is stop and allow things to cool down, look inwards and see areas where you personally have been lacking in the and make a quality decision to change.

A good relationship does not just happen it is made to happen.
