Keep On Sowing Are there times in your relationship you rise with a strong determination to go all the way to do whatever it would take to have a happy relationship only to realise your spouse is not pulling his or her weight. Your spouse just seems to always let you down, naturally you want to give up on your efforts, and you feel used, angry, tired, and discouraged. God’s word says you should not be critical or tired, you are like a farmer with precious seed in his hands. Don’t stop sowing your good seed, let the hope and dream of the result keep you going. To go on, you need God’s love which includes patience, the ability to tolerate imperfect people, kindness, the act of doing good, trust, crediting your spouse with good intentions, persistence, the ability to keep going even under pressure and of course forgiveness which is your willingness to erase resentment and not keep score of hurt and pain. You need to forgive and not be critical or judgemental, don’t forget you might need some forgiveness yourself before the day runs out. God wants to encourage you to keep on sowing the good seed you started to sow, because your good harvest is coming. Don’t stop, your harvest will surely come. |
