Breaking the Chains of Debt Low income can put a marriage under a lot of pressure, moving into borrowing to cater for the shortage usually worsens the situation. Financial debt is not one of God’s favoured ways of meeting your needs because it leads to a lot of pressure, worry, anxiety and emotional torment, especially when you are threatened with loosing your job. God’s wants to get you out of the chain of debt that is causing a lot of pain in relationships. You will agree that it is much easier to get into debt than break free from it. Debt is oppressive, it leads to fear, enslavement and exploitation. Overspending leads to the accumulation of debt, which soon becomes a pattern and an unending cycle and debt has a tendency to hurt than help, don’t play with it. God wants to break that cycle, He wants you to experience His peace and freedom from debt. God has wisdom that would lead you from not having enough to you having more than enough. Your abundance is His will, He is greatly pleased when you prosper financially. God wants you released and free, free to serve God, free to enjoy your relationship and the blessings of God, free to be a blessing to others. Start by renewing your mind about what God has said about debt. Here are some scriptures you can meditate on with your spouse: Romans 13:8, Psalm 35:27, Deuteronomy 28:12, Deut 15:6, 1John 3:8, 4:4, 5:4,5, Acts 10:38 |
